she is knocking me out (fill in the blank friday!)

{hey, I actually found the source. Link up here!}

1.   The most selfless thing I've ever done was hard to think of, because honestly, I am not a very selfless person. It's something I try and work on. It's probably being willing to cover any shift for anyone at my old job. I almost never say no to that.

2.   When it comes to working out I know my limits, but try to push them. Running is feeling better, but a mile is still hard. I'd rather dance!

3.  A woman should always do whatever. she. wants! No, seriously. Most women are BAMFs and need to act accordingly.

4. I wish I could get plane tickets for free and then I'd visit all my friends and family that I haven't seen in entirely too long.

5.  A best friend is still a friend, even when you don't talk for years at a time.

6.  I can't get enough of Sonos. Seriously, I think I Want You Back is sexy.

7.  This weekend I am going to my first a cappella rehearsal with the new group! I am very excited. I also might get my hair cut. You know, cause it needs it like woah.

Huzzah! Weekend is almost upon us! Have a great one!

brings me back to you (fill in the blank friday)

(stolen from Lemonade Life)

Something popular that I can’t stand/just don’t “get” is country music. Everyone else seems to think it's THE BOMB. I, generally, can't stand it.

Something unpopular that I secretly love is ROMPERS. Ok, so I know some other people love rompers, but most of the people I know don't. I very much do.

When I’ve had a bad day I like to curl up in bed, shut everything out and read or listen to music. Maybe with a cup of early grey or irish breakfast tea. Sometimes, I like to curl up with my booboo.

I’d prefer a cloudless sky, a spanish latte and a seat on a roof deck.

Something that makes me nervous is that callbacks are tomorrow morning. I stress the morning part because my voice just never sounds it's best in the morning. I actually had a voice teacher in college tell me that we needed to switch back to afternoon lessons because my voice didn't like singing in the morning. Told you so.

Something worth fighting for is your happiness.

When people think of me, I hope they think that we have fun together. I like to be generally likeable, if not also humorous (in the, laughing with me , not the laughing at me kind of way.)

How do you fill in the blanks?

wall of sound

I keep wandering over to Blogger to write a post, but then when I get here, I realize I have nothing to say because -- let's face it -- I didn't even go to the gym last night. That basically means I have done nothing except eat, watch tv, work and sleep since my last post. Hah.

I have a Skype date tonight with my friend Megan, to see her and her fiance's new house. I'm excited -- I haven't really talked to her for, like, a year. Which is ridiculous, but what happens when you hate the phone like I do.

I'm supposed to hang out on a boat on Sunday, if the weather is nice.

I'm on Google+. Be my friend? (caitlin.o.nelson@gmail.com)

It's Friday!

the words don't mean enough

It has been crazy CRAZY here at work, because it's the end of the fiscal year so everyone is scrambling to get shit stuff done before the 30th. I am taking  amoment to breathe, because after lunch I feel like all hell is going to break loose and there will be people physically running invoices around. We're obviously super prepared for this! Hah.

Nate and I went to the gym last night to have our free personal training sessions for the month. He was training with a guy named Charles, but since he got a new 8-5 desk job (which he is increasingly more excited about every day he goes) and Charles only works until 4:30, he was in need of a new trainer. So we decided to do a buddy session with my trainer, Dawn. I was a little skeptical, but it turned out to be awesome! We worked mostly arms, legs and cardio, with a little core (which is fine by me.) We also did measurements, and discovered that -- despite my week in Boston eating every type of barfood imaginable and not working out for a week and a half -- what I have been doing is paying off. I haven't lost a whole lot of fat (see: copious amounts of nachos/ice cream/rich wedding food,) but I have gained 1.5% muscle, which is awesome. My arms are now even (apparently before one was 9.5" and one was 10.5"...so I gained .5" in one and lost it in the other. Hoorah for symmetry?) Unfortunately everything else is the same or a little higher, but I'm not surprised by that fact. Now that we're back in the swing of things, that should (hopefully) change.

Ok, back to numbers and numbers and numbers. Have I mentioned I'm not really a numbers person? Oh well.
