My Memories Giveaway!

::PLEASE CHECK OUT: the update the requirements for entry -- I really want to be able to give this away!::

As you may (or may not) know, about a year ago (ack, I can't believe it's been a year!) I ended a 5-month road trip with my boyfriend, Nathan and wound up in Seattle, where I am now!

We'd been talking for a while about a coffee-table book of the trip: including either the blog entries, pictures or both. So when My Memories contacted me about using their scrapbooking software, I jumped at the chance!

After downloading the product, I opened up the super-cute pink icon nestled on my desktop and started playing around.

My first impression of the software is that it is super easy to use. Despite having use computers for basically my entire life, I still get a little hung up on how to use some products because the answer to my question or the process isn't intuitive enough. I feel like you should be able to right-click and choose, or use the menu at the top or just the keyboard to be able to accomplish the same basic tasks. Thankfully, My Memories did just that.

All of the different scrapbooks show up on the left-hand side of the screen (you can personalize, create and download them -- so cool!) and the ways in which you can edit the scrapbook page -- which shows up in the middle of the screen -- are on the right-hand side. They are small bars that expand into full menus when you click on them, and therefore don't take up a lot of space or require a lot of scrolling. Unless, you know, you are opening all of them at once. In which case, that's your prerogative =)

You drag and drop pretty much everything: photos, text boxes. There are even fun stickers (see the 'embellishments' tag over there?) that you can use to make the scrapbook pages very fun and personalized! Here are a couple I created:

I love that you can make them simple and clean (that's my aesthetic I guess) or fill the pages up with all kinds of things!

So now the fun part, right? You can win your very own copy of the My Memories Scrapbook Software! Here's how it works:

Required for entry:
1. You must be a follower of Done and Done on GFC.
Please just enter! At this point, you will be the only one, and then it's all yours =)
2. Go to the MyMemories website and check it out!
Then, leave me a comment letting me know what your favorite FREE DOWNLOAD template is!

Optional -- one entry each:

2. Tweet about the giveaway! (make sure to mention me, @LittleReadHead and MyMemories, @MyMemoriesSuite, in the tweet!)
2. Leave me a comment letting me know you follow MyMemories blogTwitter or Facebook page! (one entry for each one)
3. Write a blog post about the giveaway, and link it back to this entry and the MyMemories website! (and then leave me a comment, letting me know!)

That's it! The giveaway will remain open for a week, until 11:59pm on Thursday, October 6th Sunday, October 9th! Winner will be chosen via Random.org and announced Monday, October 10th.

My favorite free download template is the Wild West Quick Page. I have been stocking your blog for a while now, I live in Bellingham, WA, up I-5 by the Canadian border. I have been looking for something fun like this, because I am pregnant, but not exactly the most creative person, and I would love to be able to document my sweet babies first years. Thanks
