We did a lot of things. Saturday morning Nate and I had callbacks for PitchCraft at the Seattle Center. I am happy to report we both got in! Our first rehearsal is Sunday afternoon and we are VERY excited to start singing again. Whee!
After callbacks we met Zach, got Starbucks and headed over to the EMP (Experience Music Project) and spent several hours wandering around and checking out the exhibits. We also took a guitar tutorial, which mostly dissolved into Zach taking and guitar tutorial and Nate and I trying to remember the Guitar we took while in college. Fancy.
After the EMP, we just over to Pike Place to grab some food and wander around for a bit. We had a small lunch at Kells, then hopped over to Hard Rock to sit on their roof deck and watch the sun set over the Sound.

After the Hard Rock, we took a short detour home before going to 88 Keys in Pioneer Square for dinner, drinks and a show! They had a new piano guy there -- we're used to seeing Dino, the owner, and two women play -- who was spectacular! They sat us right up front (cause we're awesome, of course) and so they pulled Zach and I up on stage to dance to Linus and Lucy, Peanuts style, and then me once more to do the 'oh my god, this is great' line from Bruno Mars' The Lazy Song (y'all know what I'm talking about) and Zach once more for Military tribute. Nate never made it up on stage, though we did try. Apparently he's not cool enough or something. Whatever.
I went home around 11:30PM, cause I was tired and dehydrated and all I wanted to do was sleep. The boys stayed out and, of course, Nate's phone died, and OF COURSE HE CAN'T REMEMBER MY PHONE NUMBER (and also didn't give it to Zach correctly -- even though we have been dating for OVER two years) so I took our only set of keys and they were supposed to come over after 88 Keys, but wound up going to Contour with some girls they met at 88 Keys (and apparently one creepy dude) and then had to throw pine cones at the window until I woke up. It was awesome. And by awesome I mean not.
Sunday morning was rough, so we went over to IHOP for a necessary breakfast (at 2PM) and then grabbed a ZipCar to take Zach up to see the Fremont Troll and over to Alki to see the beach. It turned into a nice day for a while, so the skyline from West Seattle was looking pretty awesome.
{me on the Fremont troll, looking kind of photoshopped -- I promise I was there.}

Sunday night we took the monorail over to the Seattle Center to see Laser Michael Jackson, which was freakin' awesome; I think especially so because there were only about 20 people there to see the show, so everyone got to lay down on the ground all spaced out. It's so. very. loud, and sometimes the bass feels like it's going to liquify your insides, but the laser show was pretty cool and it was awesome just to lie down and listen to the hits of MJ for a while. I may have also sung along to everything. Except P.Y.T., cause I don't know the words.
{riding the Monorail at night -- wheee!}
Monday morning we got up in time to go to lunch atop the Space Needle. We had entirely too much food, but by the time we left it had stopped raining, so we wandered down to the market again to sample and look at the wares. We grabbed brownies from the Three Girls Bakery and a seat and coffee at Starbucks and sat and chatted until we were ready to head home. We spent the evening watching TV and trying not to fall asleep. Pizza for dinner and then Zach was off, back home to Texas.
Now it's back to work and back to cooking, eating real meals and the gym. Because I feel like a blimp. Bluuuuuuurgh.
How was your weekend? Anything exciting Columbus Day activities?
