what to wear? concert edition

So the new a cappella group Nate and I are singing with are doing our first performance on Sunday! This is exciting, but also nerve-wracking, because we've rehearsed exactly three times; only two of those times everyone in the group was present (apparently it's hard to get 13 people in the same place at the same time -- who knew?)

We're wearing all black with purple accents. I have black tops, but my only black bottoms are a) too casual for performance or b) too small. And Nate's black shirt is too big.

Since we have $75 of Express cash to use before November 2nd, we're gonna head there this week to pick up some new performance blacks. I was thinking something like this:

Short to medium length, tight skirt with textured/patterned black tights...

With a looser, flowy top...

..and some purple accessories!

(is it bad that of these, I'm most excited about the feather extensions?)

I'd really love to find some purple shoes, but I'm not sure if that will happen in the stores we have to choose from downtown for a reasonable amount of money. So I may just go with black shoes.

And purple feathers! Maybe a boa?

Any suggestions? I could always do a black dress with some black leggings.
