Second, we viewed an apartment in our building that is going to be opening up next month. We love our building, and would good with our current apartment, except for the fact that it has no exterior view. We have exterior windows, but they face the siding of the building next to us. Not to mention, we are on the third floor (smack dab in the middle,) so we can see neither the sky nor the ground. We see wall. Oh, and pigeons. They are our friends.
So. We walked into this apartment yesterday, which has a WEST-FACING view (if you live in Seattle, you know what I'm talkin' about here,) and it was glorious. You walk in and out the fourth floor windows and you see the water, and the stadium and Smith Tower and it. is. AWESOME. So, what's the problem? It's smaller than our current apartment. This wouldn't be as big a problem if we hadn't decided to start collecting furniture. Or, if it had an exterior closet, like both of the other apartments we've lived in in this building. We did have the smarts to measure the bedroom -- the smallest of all bedrooms EVER -- and our bed (just barely) and night tables will fit. I had the grand idea of using shelves as low-cost night stands, so we can just put them above our heads to make room for the bedframe. Unfortunately, we also have a dresser and a desk in our bedroom right now and those will not fit. And I'm not sure everything we have in the living room will fit. Plus, we will now have one closet, and a good chunk of the floor space is taken up by the water heater.
BUT. The view. A picture of the outside world. I want to move. I just need to convince Nate that it can be done!
Third, we signed up for an Adventure Treasure Hunt on the 30th with my sister, because LivingSocial was having a 50% voucher for the registration. We're using it as a decider for if we want to do the second on in October and/or the Great Urban Race in August. TO ADVENTURE!
Fourth, we started watching Falling Skies the other night. It...wasn't very good. I'm going to give it a few more episodes, mainly because I just like Noah Wyle, but...we'll see. I'm sad about it.
Fifth, my Google Reader is having issues and not showing that I've read things after I've done so. And it's irritating me. I need to check you off my list, yo!
Sixth, did you knows that, despite their fatty content, nuts can actually help you lose weight? Come at me, bag of raw almonds!

I've got a friend who has been going on and on about that burger place...you'll have to let me know what you think. I may have to let her drag me there. ☺
I would give up quite a lot to keep a west facing view here!!
@Hannah @ The New Black
YES. West-facing is the bomb dot com.
and you should totally be dragged -- super good burgers, so fresh and tasty! (and excellent sweet potato fries, but I think all sweet potato fries are excellent ;)
