Hello, friends!

I switch over here, and hopefully you know that, because now you are reading here. I decided my old address didn't exactly describe or mean anything, so here we are. Because done and done means (to me) that you have completed something important and/or exciting -- even if that means you've only completed the thought of it in your head. It's a saying I picked up from friends somewhere in college and it's stuck with me. So...there. Done and done.

It's Thursday (huzzah!) so here are a Top Five (idea stolen from The Perfect Compilation Tape, though, she switches up her topics every week) of some new tunes I have come across recently, mostly sent to me in a cappella form (which then causes me to look up the original song) by my good friend Christopher, who -- not unrelatedly -- is going to be working for The Sing Off next season! That means he's on MY coast now (the western one, though we are both from the eastern one) and therefore in my timezone. So maybe I will actually see him. But probably not. LA is far away from Seattle. It's okay, though. I like him anyway.

1. "Again and Again" The Bird and the Bee

(Check out Sonos's version of this.)

2. "Unravel" Bjork

(The Swingle Singers do this a cappella and it. is. RAD!)

3. "Little Bird" Jazzanova ft. Jesse James

(Sonos does an awesome a cappella version)

4. "Wicked Game" Sonos (originally Chris Issak)

(Sonos rocks my face off. I like their version better than the cheesy original -- despite it's sexiest-music-video-of-all-time standing.)

5. "Monsters" Matchbook Romance

(UPenn Off the Beat has a kick-ass version.)

Today was supposed to be sunny, but they LIED and it's like walking around in a giant cloud. It's lame. Lame. Also, we completely ignored the gym this weekend, so it's kicking our behinds this week. But it's a good kicking -- my butt hurts from squats, and I'm ok with it. Especially if it means looking good in a bathing suit. Not that we wear many bathing suits in Seattle.
