Link up for Wee Bit Wednesday with Leigh Ashley!
{one} what is your dream job?Singing! Or...zookeeper?
{two} how many best friends do you have?I have different best friends from different parts of my life:
First Best Friend: 4th GradeJessica and Me.
(Don't we look super cool? Don't you love my dorky glasses?
Also, this picture is 7th grade, not 4th. But we are still bebes.)
High School BFFs
Leslie, Jessamyn, Megan and Me.
(We were inseparable senior year.
Our friend Jackson dubbed us 'the lifeform.')
College BFFs
Sarah (aka Lala,) Caroline (aka Calalala,) and Me
(so, technically, I gained a lot of best friends through Yahtzee - Jenny, Chris, Travis, Alli, etc, etc, etc...
but these girls are probably the ones I hung out with the most.
Sarah and I were joined at the hip for a while,
and Sarah and Jenny were joined at the hip - still are -
so we wound up being a trio a lot of the time.)
Boston BFFs
Nate, Me and Zoe.
(Yes yes, the one of the left is my boyfran',
but I still consider him one of my best friends from Boston,
because we were good friends even before we started dating.
And that's my Zoe. And I miss her. We used to hang out pretty much every weekend,
drink, sing bad karaoke on demand and play Super Mario Bros. on the Wii.
Until 3 in the morning.
We were cool. YOU HEARD ME. COOL. KIDS.)
{three} what’s the longest road trip you’ve ever taken?Hah. Hahahaha. Sorry, this question makes me laugh, since I feel like I talk about this a lot. I took a five-month road trip, from New Hampshire to Washington State, via Upstate NY & Niagara Falls, north FL, MN, CO, southern CA and everywhere in between! Check it out, here.
{four} if you had to do one single thing every day for the next year, what would it be?Hmmm. This is a hard one. I could say go to the gym, cause I'd be ripped but tired. I could say sing, but sometimes your throat just doesn't want that. I could say play the piano, cause then maybe I'd get back up to my old skill level, but...I think I'll have to say eat chocolate! Or read a book ;)
{five} what’s one story your family always tells about you?My family has more funny stories about my sister than me, but my dad loves to tell the story about how when I was a baby, I stuck a Tabasco sauce top in my mouth and hated it. Hence, I still don't like spicy foods.
{six} how did your parents pick your name?I believe it was a character either from a book or a tv show at the time. It's also apparently the same name everyone else who had a baby in 1986 chose, because I know a lot of Caitlins (using various spellings.) There were four in my little-kid ballet/tap class.
{seven} what’s the one thing that scares you more than anything?I get scared by a lot of things. It's called anxiety! Mostly, I am scared of disappointing people, though. Also, clowns. *shudder*
{eight} are you a good cook?I am an excellent cook, but I am not trained at all. I learn by doing.
{nine} where do you see yourself in 20 years?Back in Boston after having traveled the world, probably with a kid or dog (or both?)
{ten} what’s your best childhood memory?I love thinking about the games my friends and I used to play: House on on the back deck (where we added a 1 to our ages, so we were 15, 17 and 18...because you know...teenagers are very adult,) and Fairies under the big tree in my friend Rachel and Hannah's yard. We had a dance where we spun in circles and shrieked. It was pretty awesome. We were cool little kids.
