monday morning, rain is falling

That probably won't be true, since tomorrow is supposed to be nice (you know, since it's Monday...) but here's a little book survey to start off the week!

1. Favorite book - Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff; American Gods by Neil Gaiman.

2. Least favorite book - Wuthering Heights. I didn't like the story the first time, why would I want it to read it again in the same book?! Seriously, y'all.

3. Book that makes you laugh out loud - Anything David Sedaris.

4. Book that makes you cry - Where the Red Fern Grows.

5. Book you wish you could live in - Dragonriders of Pern Novels by Anne McCaffrey. Love them!

6. Favorite young adult book - Hunger Games. Though, I also really enjoyed Animorphs. And City of Ember.

7. Book that you can quote/recite - To Kill a Mockingbird. Or...I used to be able too. Probably because I was in the play.

8. Book that scares you - Most Steven King are pretty frightening, if you let yourself be immersed in them.

9. Book that makes you sick - Haunted. Didn't get through it, in fact.

10. Book that changed your life - Books don't often "change my life," but most (well-written) books I read make me want to start writing again. Then I usually do, for a page or so. Then I get frustrated and stop.

11. Book from your favorite author - Uhm, I haven't read any other Tanya Huff, but Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman was pretty good.

12. Book that is most like your life - Uhm...I don't know that I've read a book that's like my life.

13. Book whose main character is most like you - Summon the Keeper. I'm very Claire.

14. Book whose main character you want to marry -  Masterharper of Pern.

15. First "chapter book" you remember reading as a child - Probably something like Babysitter's Little Sister?

16. Longest book you've read - Hmm...I don't know. A lot of books are very long. Maybe one of the Clan of the Cave Bear series books?

17. Shortest book you've read -
What kind of question is this? Lots of kids books.

18. Book you're most embarrassed to say you like - Animorphs? Hehe.

19. Book that turned you on - Plains of Passage. And ridiculous romance novels that I delete off my Kindle as soon as I've read them and never speak of again!

20. Book you've read the most number of times - Summon the Keeper or American Gods, most likely.

21. Favorite picture book from childhood - Goodnight, Moon.

22. Book you plan to read next - Game of Thrones. I'm a couple chapters in! After that, the Harry Potter books. Or The Help.

23. Book you tell people you've read, but haven't (or haven't actually finished) - Use to be 1984, but then I started owning up to the fact that I couldn't get through it.

24. Book that contains your favorite scene - Probably Summon the Keeper. There are some awesome scenes. Or possibly Jurassic Park.

25. Favorite book you read in school - Night by Elie Wiesel.

26. Favorite nonfiction book - Night by Elie Wiesel.

27. Favorite fiction book - Most of what I read is fiction!  But for something new, I'll say...Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut.

28. Last book you read - Before Game of Thrones, book 3 of The Hunger Games.

29. Book you're currently reading - Game of Thrones numero uno.

30. Favorite coffee table book - The Post Secret books.

(stolen from Lariats and Lavender who, invariably, stole it from someone else ;)
